There are approximately 36 million senior adults in the US. Seniors living alone or with a senior spouse may need help staying safe, healthy and independent at home. At some point, they may need a home health care aide to provide assistance with medical problems, Alzheimer's issues or to do cooking and organizing. In this case the agency makes the $20 per hour of which she pays $11, something to the nurse and keeps the rest.

There are various forms of health care and different types of health care workers. Are you a nurse in a hospital, or do you work as a home health aide? Are you a physical therapist, a mental health care worker, or a midwife? As someone in the health care field, you should always get to know your clients to a certain degree (if only for their best interest), but these clients are probably not people home care physical therapist you would invite out for after-dinner drinks.
